Gophers are large, brown, ground dwelling rodents that build large, intricate, and often destructive tunnels. They are omnivores that can feed on plants, roots and insects. Gophers can seriously damage landscaping, trees, underground wiring, sprinklers, and even foundations. Besides causing structural damage, they also cause eyesores and tripping hazards as they push out large mounds of soil in landscaped areas.
